چکیده
Abstract The paper presents a numerical analysis of pressuremeter test in unsaturated cohesive soils. In practice, is commonly expanded up to 10–15% cavity strains. At these strains, limit pressure not usually reached, and its value estimated by extrapolation. Accordingly, authors suggest using at 10% strain ( P 10 ) for the interpretation rather than pressure. this strain, it also assured that plastic occurs around cavity, which crucial interpretations. soils, moisture soil tested has noticeable influence on pressure, consequently, magnitude . paper, behaviour been captured Barcelona basic model (BBM), each BBM parameter explored. Unsaturated soils: From constitutive modelling to numerical algorithms
This paper presents an overview of constitutive modelling of unsaturated soils and the numerical algorithms for solving the associated boundary value problems. It first discusses alternative stress and strain variables that can be used in constitutive models for unsaturated soils. The paper then discusses the key issues in unsaturated soil modelling and how these issues can be incorporated into...
متن کاملthe relationship between eq, iq and test format: a study on test fairness
the major aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between iq, eq and test format in the light of test fairness considerations. this study took this relationship into account to see if people with different eq and iq performed differently on different test formats. to this end, 90 advanced learners of english form college of ferdowsi university of mashhad were chosen. they were ask...
15 صفحه اولFlow Simulation in Unsaturated, Heterogeneous Soils
Porous media flow models are applied in important areas of interest, including environmental studies or industrial applications. In this case, large-scale experiments are usually expensive, or even impossible, so computer simulations should replace them. Here we focus on the numerical simulation of a flow in an unsaturated, heterogeneous soil. We summarize briefly some results concerning the mo...
متن کاملSteady flows in unsaturated soils are stable
The stability of steady, vertically upward and downward flow of water in a homogeneous layer of soil is analyzed. Three equivalent dimensionless forms of the Richards equation are introduced, namely the pressure head, saturation, and matric flux potential forms. To illustrate general results and derive special results, use is made of several representative classes of soils. For all classes of s...
